Eight Fall Date Night Ideas

Image
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! If you're anything like me and my husband, Friday nights are date night! And for some reason that I can't explain, date nights in the fall are the best! Maybe it's because there's so much going on and so many fun festive activities to participate in. Who knows, but I love it!  So I thought it'd be fun to make a list of fun fall date night ideas and share it with y'all. Spend a Friday Night Under the Lights at a High School Football Game Shawn and I went to a game here a couple weekends ago and it was so fun! High school football is a big deal here in Texas. The game was played at the Cowboys practice stadium and there were a ton of people in the stands. There's just something about the crisp fall air, the stadium lights and the support of a close knit community! 12 Soups to Try This Fall

Image
I can't be the only one that feels like Fall and homemade soup go hand in hand, right?! It's definitely soup season...it still doesn't really feel like it outside, but I don't care. I'm refusing to let the heat damper my fall spirit! So I did some browsing and have been on the hunt for the perfect fall soup recipes. And not to toot my own horn, but I think I found some good ones! I've included a good mix of creamy soups, chilis and chowders. First up is this yummy looking Brie + Cheddar Apple Beer Soup with Cinnamon Pecan Oat Crumble from Half Baked Harvest. How amazing does this look?! I don't want to use beer in mine, so I looked through the comments on her blog post and she said that you can swap it out for equal amounts of chicken or veggie broths. I'll definitely be trying this soon! Brie + Cheddar Apple Beer Soup with Cinnamon Pecan Oat Crumble PC: Half Baked Harvest Need a good chili recipe for a fall get together with...

I don't mean to sound cliche or like a little kid, but our trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was literally a dream come true!  I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!  Location : For those who aren't familiar with how WWHP is set up, it's spread out over two parks in Universal Orlando Resort. Hogsmeade opened in 2010 and is located in Island of Adventure. Diagon Alley opened in 2014 and is located in Universal Studios. I definitely recommend getting the Park Hopper Passes and using the Hogwarts Express to go back and forth between both parks while you're there! And I'd suggest at least a full day for each park! When to visit :  Shawn and I picked the PERFECT week to visit Universal Studios.  We went Thursday through Saturday of the week  after Labor Day. Kids were back in school and it was the weekend before all of Universal's Halloween events started up. The only way it could have been better was if ...
