Friday Faves!

I am so excited to finally start sharing my favorite products with you guys! In this post you'll find honest reviews of products I have tried and absolutely love! If you have questions or thoughts to add, feel free to comment! 1. BareMinerals Complexion Rescue // 2. Luxie Brush 660 and 514 // 3. Tarte Bronzer // 4. DLS Blush // 5. PMD Let's start with one of my all time favorites! You guys, BareMinerals has created such a stellar product ! I use this multitasking gel cream every single day. While you can use it on its own, I actually mix it with my BB cream and apply it as my foundation. It has a semi-shimmer-shine finish and sets really well after a minute or two. I love that it never feels cakey on my face, yet I still get the coverage I want! And it's super blendable! You can learn more about applying this product and see an ingredient list  here . So I am very very picky about my brushes!  I had never heard of the brand Luxie before receiving these tw...

A Day In Rockport

Image
Happy Thursday! I am so excited about today's blog post! I'm writing about the beautiful town of Rockport and some must see things if you're ever in that area!  From the moment you arrive in this northern Massachusetts town, the small coastal town vibes begin to win you over. You can feel the breeze rolling in from the ocean. You can smell the salt in the air. You can see the happiness of all the people that fill the adorable little streets and shops. To say Rockport is beautiful would be a major understatement! The harbor and big red shack featured in "The Proposal" In my opinion, the best part of this town is Bearskin Neck where you will find streets lined with colorful little boutiques, inns, restaurants, and some of the best ice cream parlors around! In the movie "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, this is the part of Rockport that is used to portray Sitka, Alaska. It's fun to recognize all of the scenes ...

Playing Catch Up: July

Image
July was also a busy, but fun month for us! Shawn and I usually don't do much for the 4th of July because we both hate crowds, but this year we were feeling adventurous! It may have something to do with the fact that this was our last Independence Day out here in Boston! On Monday, July 3rd, we went down to Newport, Rhode Island with some friends. This little town is the cutest! And like so many other coastal towns along the Eastern United States, the views are breathtaking!  We went sailing and I discovered that I absolutely LOVE it....when someone else is doing all the work and I get to sit their with the wind whipping my hair while I take pictures haha! But honestly, it was one of the funnest things I've done since we've moved out here. I think it's partly because I grew up on the water and missed that feeling. But also because there was just something about being out there on the ocean that day, with the sun beating down on me, and my hair blowing in t...

Playing Catch Up: June (Plumb Family Vaca)

Image
June was a CRAZY month for us! My family came out for eight days and then Shawn's parents and friends came out for about five days. Oh, and we managed to squeeze a super fun camping trip in between those visits! We love having visitors, it makes us feel less lonely and far away from everyone! And we love showing people around Boston! My parents and two little sisters came out here the first week of June and we had so much fun! We did everything...and I mean EVERYTHING! We crammed a lot into the eight days they were here. The first day we took it easy and laid low since they got in really late the night before. We went and checked out the Harvard campus, had some shawarma , then went and saw Wonder Woman (such a good movie!) in 3D at the huge IMAX screen inside Jordan's Furniture. If anyone hasn't been there, you really should check it out ! They have the newest technology for sound...there are sound boxes above you, in front of you, behind you, on the sides of you, AND...
