A Day In Rockport

Happy Thursday!

I am so excited about today's blog post! I'm writing about the beautiful town of Rockport and some must see things if you're ever in that area!

From the moment you arrive in this northern Massachusetts town, the small coastal town vibes begin to win you over. You can feel the breeze rolling in from the ocean. You can smell the salt in the air. You can see the happiness of all the people that fill the adorable little streets and shops. To say Rockport is beautiful would be a major understatement!

The harbor and big red shack featured in "The Proposal"

In my opinion, the best part of this town is Bearskin Neck where you will find streets lined with colorful little boutiques, inns, restaurants, and some of the best ice cream parlors around! In the movie "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, this is the part of Rockport that is used to portray Sitka, Alaska. It's fun to recognize all of the scenes from the movie!

This place has THE BEST Elephant Ears ever! So good!
Red & White Striped Awnings, Wood-Shingle Siding? How cute?!
Every town needs a cute little Lobster shack!
This cozy little inn is perfectly named... "My Place By The Sea"

Planter boxes, a captain's wheel, and an American Flag?! It doesn't get any cuter!

Once you make your way past all the shop-lined streets, you'll come to a peninsula that has amazing views of the ocean in almost any direction you look! It's the perfect spot to fly kites, eat a picnic lunch on a rocky beach, take pictures, or just enjoy the scenery.

So if you ever want to escape the city and see a beautiful coastal town, Rockport is the place for you! It's the best kind of therapy!
