Summer Vacation Part II

Image
After a long day at California Adventure and some much needed rest, we were ready to play hard at Magic Kingdom the next day! This post will be short, because pictures speak louder than words and I have a bunch of awesome pictures to share! We did it all! We rode Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Train and more! Every minute was a blast and Andersen loved it. His favorites were definitely Toontown and meeting all the characters! Space Mountain! Ignore my scared face...I totally loved it! Random shots of the day. Poor Aleah, I think she was more tired than little Andersen! The Indiana Jones ride was epic! We rode it several times :) Andersen with all the fun characters Andersen was so excited to ride the train with Uncle Shawn, Aunt Lexi, and Gma & Gpa Toontown was the highlight of Andersen's day! Random shots of the day. Bu...

Summer Vacation Part I

This trip couldn't have come at a better time! Shawn and I were both so ready to get away from Boston and have fun for a couple of weeks! We flew into Vegas where we met my family at the airport. Then we started our road trip to California. On the way we stopped in Primm, NV for lunch at Qdoba's and snapped some pictures with our cute little nephews :) It was fun meeting Camden for the first time and seeing how much Andersen loves him! After lunch it was on to Anaheim for Disneyland! We got there around dinner time so we headed over to Downtown Disney to do some shopping and eat at Rain Forest Cafe. I love the atmosphere at that restaurant. It was so fun watching Anders take it all in and experience it for the first time. They have this huge robotic snake hanging from one of the trees in the lobby. Shawn was holding Anders and the snake came down behind him. Shawn said, "Anders, look!" Anders turned around and the snake was right in his face. It scared hi...

I know I'm a little late, but I have to write about our first Independence Day in Boston! I wish I could say it was more eventful, but we were both so busy and just took the weekend off. Doesn't mean it wasn't fun though!  Since we both had Friday off, we headed downtown to the Red Sox vs. Astros game. And of course we were all decked out in our Sox gear :) We grabbed dinner at a whole-in-the-wall Mexican place and it was delicious! We both got burritos and they were HUGE! After dinner we went over to Fenway. While we were waiting in line, we saw a ton of Navy Seals parachuting down into the stadium with American Flags attached to their chutes. It was in honor of Independence Day and it was awesome! We met up with some friends who had tickets right next to us. Great company, great weather, great night. On Saturday, Shawn had to study and I had to do Etsy orders. Fun huh?! That night we took a break and had a BBQ then went to see a movie. On t...
