I know I'm a little late, but I have to write about our first Independence Day in Boston! I wish I could say it was more eventful, but we were both so busy and just took the weekend off. Doesn't mean it wasn't fun though!  Since we both had Friday off, we headed downtown to the Red Sox vs. Astros game. And of course we were all decked out in our Sox gear :) We grabbed dinner at a whole-in-the-wall Mexican place and it was delicious! We both got burritos and they were HUGE! After dinner we went over to Fenway. While we were waiting in line, we saw a ton of Navy Seals parachuting down into the stadium with American Flags attached to their chutes. It was in honor of Independence Day and it was awesome! We met up with some friends who had tickets right next to us. Great company, great weather, great night. On Saturday, Shawn had to study and I had to do Etsy orders. Fun huh?! That night we took a break and had a BBQ then went to see a movie. On t...

Fun With The In-Laws! Part 2 I know this post is a bit late, but I had to write about the rest of our trip with Shawn's parents! Ok so on Friday we left bright and early for NYC! It's only about a 4 hour drive so we got there at a decent hour and found parking for $20 for the whole day...which is unheard of. So it ended up being cheaper for us to all drive down and park then to buy four bus tickets. Can't you tell Shawn's excited?! :) Once we got to New York and parked the car, we headed to Central Park. If I lived in NYC and was anywhere near Central Park, I would definitely start my mornings off with a run or walk through there. It is so beautiful and peaceful! It was neat to think about how many famous people have been there and all of the movies and TV shows that were filmed there. We had our first chance to use the selfie stick in Central Park and it worked out great. We could all fit in the pictures with a lot of the background too. Judge if you w...

Fun With The In-Laws! Part 1 Shawn's parents came out to visit last week and it was a blast!!! We had so much fun in the six days that they were here! We walked over 50 miles and I'm pretty sure we were all beat at the end of that trip. They flew in late Tuesday night and we didn't waste any time. On Wednesday Shawn had a quick test at school so Lenny, Mary Ann and I rode the subway downtown with him. While he took his test we went over to the Boston Public Library to check it out. No, we didn't go to rent books haha. We went to see the amazing architecture and history of this building in downtown Boston. It totally exceeded my expectations! I never thought I would enjoy walking through an old building, but I loved every little detail! The wood work, marble, and structure in general are so awesome. It's hard to describe in words how beautiful this building is, so I had to post a bunch of pictures (which still don't do it justice!). One of my favorite pa...
