What's Up Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for the another round of What's Up Wednesday with my girls Shay and Sheaffer. I couldn't be more excited to share what's going on in our lives right now! Here's what's new and exciting!

What we're eating this week:
You guys!! I recently discovered the app "Mealime" and it's amazing! I planned a week's worth of meals and had the grocery list literally in less than 15 minutes. There are so many good recipes and I can't wait to try a bunch this week! Here's some of the ones I picked!

Steak, Asparagus & Bell Pepper Stir Fry

Grilled Thai Chicken with Cucumber Peach Salad

Roasted Salmon & Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

What I'm reminiscing about:

Seeing "Isn't It Romantic?" last weekend! Oh my gosh, I loved it so much! It's funny, witty and the perfect amount of romance. Rebel Wilson is in it, need I say more? You gotta see it!

What I'm loving:
So I recently started doing High Fitness with my girl Alicia. High Fitness is "a hardcore fun fitness class that incorporates interval training with music you love and intense easy to follow choreography...it produces a high caloric burn and full body toning through its carefully formulated choreography that alternates between intense cardio peaks and toning tracks." I'm normally not a fitness class kind of gal; I prefer to work out on my own. But this is super fun and makes you forget you're exercising. Y'all should give High Fitness a try if you're near a place that offers it.

What we've been up to:
Shawn and I have both been really busy with work and our church callings! We work with the youth in our church and there have been some big events and things that we've had to plan and prepare for in the last couple of weeks. Lots of fun, but lots of work! We've also been spending time with our families; Shawn's brother and his family live about 20 minutes away and my sister and her family live about 10 minutes away. So we get to see them all a lot!

What I'm dreading:
Nothing! I'm not really a person that dreads things. As long as I'm prepared and know what to expect ahead of time I do ok!

What I'm working on:
Right now I'm working on eating healthier and doing better at preparing well-rounded healthy meals for Shawn and I. Cue Mealime. This app has been a game changer! I love how you can choose from a ton of healthy recipes based on body and lifestyle goals and diet restrictions. Once you select the meals you want to make, the app generates a grocery list for you that is divided by produce, meats, etc. You can go through and mark off ingredients you already have. It's seriously the best! What are some apps, tips, suggestions and recipes you have that help you stay healthy and fit?

What I'm excited about:
My older sister is pregnant with her fourth baby and.....IT'S A GIRL!! I can't wait to have another little niece! I'm really close to my sister's kids and it'll be so fun to have another little cutie to play with and spoil!

What I'm listening to:
If you've followed my blog for awhile, you know that I love to listen to audiobooks. I just finished the Falling Kingdoms series and the next one I want to start is Throne of Glass. Have any of you read it?! I've also been obsessed with songs by Ava Max including "Sweet but Psycho" and "My Way"!

What I'm watching:
Y'all know I'm watching "The Bachelor"!! But my hubby and I have also been binge watching The Resident on Hulu. I'm obsessed...it's so good! Do any of you watch it? I'm also looking for a couple more shows to watch so tell me your faves in the comments!

What I'm wearing:
The weather here in Texas has been crazy lately! One day it's 70 and the next it's 40. So figuring out what clothes to wear each day has been...fun. Basically, I've been layering lightweight items and wearing lighter jackets as opposed to coats. I can't wait for it to finally be spring and just be warm all the time! Here are two of the pieces I've been wearing. Both are super cute and affordable!

Long Sleeve Henley Button Down

Crew Neck Camo Sweater

What I'm doing this weekend:
I'm coaching my nephew's soccer team with my sister and we have a game on Saturday. It's hilarious to watch three year olds play soccer! I'm also seeing the play Mamma Mia because my friend is in it! Can't wait!

What I'm looking forward to next month:

My birthday! My husband and I are going to San Antonio for a little birthday weekend getaway and I can't wait! If any of you have suggestions for things to do, places to eat, etc let me know!

What else is new:
I found a hair gal here in Dallas and I'm finally getting my hair done! A little cut and color...Imma feel like a brand new woman!

Bonus question this month: What's your favorite board game to play with your kids?
I don't have kids yet, but my husband and I love games! We're obsessed with Settlers of Catan and play it with family and friends a lot!
