Oh The Joys of Apartment Hunting!

This week has been a whirlwind! We gave our 60-Day Notice at our current apartment and began the dreaded process of apartment hunting. We are moving for a few reasons:
  • Management is raising our rent $500 a month!
  • There is constant noise and partying
  • Shawn's commute is an hour and a half each way
  • Our electricity and water (yes, they charge for water and sewer here) bills have been through the roof even when we don't use our A/C or heater!

I really don't like apartment hunting. Actually I hate it haha! It is stressful and overwhelming. In an attempt to make the process easier, Shawn spent a few hours making a HUGE map of the Boston bus system and schedule so we could know what areas to look for housing in. I then took that map and looked on real estate websites for available apartments in those areas. It was quite the process!

We have some friends that told us about a complex called "Harbor Point" and said they were going to check it out and would let us know what they thought.  Turns out, they loved the place and suggested that Shawn and I come see it. So we drove down and were pleasantly surprised by what we found! After looking around the property, talking to current residents, and meeting with a leasing specialist, we decided we wanted to live there!

So good news...WE FOUND A PLACE! We move in July! We are so excited and thankful to have found a place to live. We will save money, commute less, have friends one building over, and the best part...live right by the ocean! We literally have a beach right outside our door :)

This is our cute little community on the beach!
