What's Up Wednesday
Happy Wednesday!
It's time for the another round of What's Up Wednesday with my girls Shay and Sheaffer. I couldn't be more excited to share what's going on in our lives right now! Here's what's new and exciting!
What we're eating this week:
Cafe Rio!! Unfortunately, this restaurant is only out west, so I have to settle for homemade. But it's still really good and since it makes a ton, we'll have it a couple times this week! My friend also sent us some Gluten Free Kodiak Cakes Mixes so I've been making our own freezer "Eggo" waffles and it's been great!What we're eating this week:
What I'm reminiscing about:
We babysat our niece and nephews a couple weeks ago and had a pizza making night! We each made our own mini pizzas, picked our toppings and baked them. They kids loved it and it was the cutest thing ever!!
What I'm loving:
My new hair! I got it done a few weeks ago for my birthday and I'm loving the lighter, blonder look!! Plus, it makes me look tan haha.
I've also been loving these Drunk Elephant skincare products! I got these small sample sizes as a birthday gift from Sephora. They clear my skin and seriously make it feel smooth as butter!
What we've been up to:
Shawn is such a trooper and has been helping me with all kinds of projects around the house! In the last couple weeks we made frames for these awesome prints from "Print It Engineer" and this marquee style menu board.
What I'm dreading:
My sister and her family that live ten minutes away are moving soon. They'll be about an hour away from us and I don't think we'll see them as much as we do now...I'm so sad about it! I'm also really dreading crickets...and bugs in general. I know bug season is coming and I'm so not happy about it!
What I'm working on:
Right now I'm working on a brand new line for my Etsy shop "Lexi's Loft" and it's going to be so cool. I can't wait to share it with y'all. Stay tuned!
What I'm excited about:
This may seem silly to some of you, but my blog post "28 Girl Bosses You Should Be Following and Why" blew up! It was shared and linked by a ton of the boss babes I featured and it has been my most read post to date! Having that kind of support and feedback from all of them and y'all meant the world to me. I'm on cloud nine!!
What I'm listening to:
Love me some audiobooks! I've been trying to watch less tv and listen to more books. Right now I'm listening to "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer. It's pretty good so far, but we'll see how it plays out. I'm really looking forward to listening to "Girl, Stop Apologizing" by Rachel Hollis next!
What I'm watching:
Well, the Bachelor is over so there's a lot less drama in my life now haha! I haven't been watching much tv, but a few shows I watch each week are The Resident, Riverdale, Last Man Standing and Whiskey Cavalier. I'm always up for trying new shows, so if you have some favorites you want to recommend send them my way!!
What I'm wearing:
It's finally getting to the point where it's been consistently warm here in Texas and it's so nice! I put together a tutorial on Spring Capsule Wardrobes here and have done some flatlays for ideas as well. I love layering lighter pieces together for this unpredictable spring weather!
What I'm doing this weekend:
Shawn and I used to play racquetball a lot in undergrad, but haven't had a place to play in years. We found a place here in Dallas and are going to go play this weekend!
What I'm looking forward to next month:
