What's Up Wednesday - 5.27.2020

Today I'm linking up with my girls Shay and Sheaffer for another round of "What's Up Wednesday"! These sweet gals started WUW, a little link up party where we all share what’s going on in our crazy lives right now. We talk about food, family, what we’re wearing, what we’re doing, what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post! Let's dive in!!

WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
Asian Rice Bowls from Clean Simple Eats! (Check out their site for more recipes and details!)
Homemade Cauliflower Pizzas (I found the best "non-plant-tasting" cauliflower crusts at Costco, the brand is Molinaro's and it's a kit that's not refrigerated). I love that we can create any kind of pizza we want on them. One of our go-tos is this Bruschetta Chicken Pizza recipe. We just use the cauliflower crust instead obviously. So good!

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
As my pregnancy comes to an end and I get closer to meeting my daughter, I've been reflecting back on our infertility journey and all we've been through to get this little miracle baby! I plan on doing a full blog post on our story soon, so stay posted!

WHAT I’M LOVING:
Have y'all heard of Billie razors?! I rave about these to everyone and anyone who will listen! They are THE BEST razors I've ever used...and believe me, I'm picky! They have been lifesavers during my pregnancy! They don't cut me and they leave the smoothest finish. Seriously, try them...you won't regret it! Linked here.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
My friends threw me the CUTEST little baby shower. Although we could only have a few people there because of Corona, it was a blast! They even set up a virtual shower on Facebook so people could tune in and watch me open their gifts. I felt so loved!
Shawn and I have also been building a bunch of things for the nursery! I'll share some DIY tutorials on what we've been making soon!

I also had a little day date with my adorable little niece a couple weeks ago! We painted her nails, made little beaded bracelets and got smoothies. She's the cutest and I love that she loves spending time with me!! Oh and she cannot wait to meet her new little cousin...she asks every time she sees me "why you still have baby in you tummy?" And she loves to feel her kick!

WHAT I’M DREADING:
I'm not dreading it per se, but I am feeling a bit anxious about labor and delivery! On the one hand I can't wait to meet my daughter, but on the other I'm nervous because I really have no idea what to expect especially in terms of the pain. If you have any suggestions or pointers, please send them my way!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
Packing my hospital bag (I'll do a post about everything I packed soon), planning out some freezer meals, trying to figure out a name for baby girl and just trying to get everything done and prepped to bring out baby home!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
We finally got an additional freezer for our garage so we can actually store and keep more things on hand! Can you say hello ice cream, freezer meals and plenty of meat?!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
I'm currently re-watching "The Royals" and I still freakin' love it! It's on Amazon Prime and I highly recommend it! So good!!

I'm currently reading "Baby Wise" because well you know...I'm having a baby...like soon! In some ways I feel totally prepared, but in other ways I feel like the learning curve is straight up haha. Hoping this book will help!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
When I'm not reading "Baby Wise", I listen to my audiobook "King's Cage" which is the third book in the "Red Queen" series. I've really liked the series and this book so far!

WHAT I’M WEARING:
Honestly, at this point it's mostly leggings, biker shorts, graphic tees and whatever still fits! I've kind of been thankful for the quarantine life because it saved my bank account...I didn't have to purchase very many maternity clothes! But I can tell you what I purchased to wear at the hospital when I deliver baby girl including the cutest robe and the softest comfiest slippers!

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
Maybe having a baby? If not, just getting last minute things done before she comes.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
Having my baby!! And seeing a ton of family! My in-laws and my parents are all coming to town and I can't wait for them to meet my daughter (wow that sounds weird to say...I'm going to have a daughter...what?!).

WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
Not much!!
