Yesterday was mine and Shawn’s six-year anniversary. It’s crazy how time flies! It’s been a whirlwind and I can’t imagine going through it without Shawn by my side. As I contemplated what to write for this post, I got thinking about how Shawn and I met and thought it would be kind of fun to share our story! So if you’ve heard it, I apologize. If not, maybe you’ll get some laughs! I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. My parents had lived their whole lives there. My grandparents lived there. My dad worked there. My sisters were in school there. I didn’t see them moving anytime soon, but I guess the long cold winters of Eastern Washington had finally taken their toll (eight feet of snow in two weeks will do that to you). My family and I had visited the beautiful, sunny town of St. George, Utah during Spring Break of 2008. I recently discovered an adorable little shop based out of Utah called Roolee Boutique . They have lots of cute clothes, but I especially love their dresses! So let's talk about the perfect dress that can be worn anytime of the year! The "Easy Dress" is a  flowy crew neck t-shirt  dress that's perfect for a hot summer or early fall day! It's light, airy, and made of the softest fabric. And these sleeves are the best. The perfect length! It's easy for these types of dresses to be boxy or unflattering, but the cut of this dress from Roolee allows it to hang perfectly! This year for Labor Day, we went camping with a bunch of friends! We stayed at Osceola Vista Campground in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Words could never describe how beautiful it was!  Some friends borrowed our car to head up Friday afternoon and set up camp. Shawn and I rode up later that evening with another couple and everyone else joined us the next day. Saturday we spent the day hiking, swimming, and playing games around the campsite.  On Sunday the weather was super cold and rainy, but we hoped that the rain would let up by the time we drove further into White Mountain National Forest to hike Mt. Washington. The drive from our campsite to the base was so beautiful. It was nice to see actual mountains again. Living in the city surrounded by concrete buildings makes me appreciate the mountains even more!
